Description

The Suttles Family Exhibit at the Sautee Nacoochee Center features the work of Bill, Pat and Todd Suttles. Bill’s landscapes and figurative works in oil and pastel have appeared in many galleries around the Southeast for over six decades. He also worked as a commercial artist for Delta Air Lines and Coca Cola. Bill and his wife Pat moved to Young Harris in 2000. Pat passed away in 2012 leaving behind a legacy of ceramics. She was best known for her unique wheel work and hand-built sculpture. Pat’s creative pottery was a best seller at Mark of the Potter in Batesville, where she was personal friends of John and Glenn LaRowe who opened the store in 1969. Todd retired from Atlanta in 2019 to join his dad to work full-time on his fine art photography. His photographic work documents and explores the stories of human expression and perception. Bill, age 95, and Todd work daily at their home studio atop Buzzard’s Roost in Trackrock Gap, which is open to the public by appointment. The exhibition is free and all are welcome. It is located in the Jim Thomas Invitational Gallery of the Sautee Nacoochee Center Cultural Center info@snca.org
